Retail Store Manager -- Specialty Retail

About the Opportunity

We are an established, growing health, wellness and lifestyle retail company with over 25 years in business and multiple brick-and-mortar locations throughout New York.

We're looking for an experienced, motivated and hands-on Retail Store Manager to lead one of our locations and help us continue growing.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader who enjoys working with people, understands retail operations, takes pride in excellent customer service and knows how to build a successful sales team.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of a store, lead by example and get things done!

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily store operations and ensure the location runs efficiently
• Recruit, train, motivate and supervise retail sales associates
• Drive sales, meet performance goals and improve store profitability
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
• Manage employee schedules, attendance and performance
• Maintain accurate inventory, stock levels and product records
• Oversee POS operations, cash handling and daily reconciliations
• Monitor store performance, sales reports and key performance indicators
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization and professional presentation
• Implement company policies, promotions and operating procedures
• Identify problems, take initiative and follow through on solutions
• Communicate regularly with company management
• Take ownership of projects and complete assignments correctly and on time

Qualifications

• Previous retail store management experience required
• Strong leadership, communication and customer-service skills
• Proven ability to drive sales and motivate employees
• Experience with POS systems, inventory and retail operations
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable managing staff, scheduling and daily store responsibilities
• Reliable, accountable and able to work independently
• Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends when needed
• Comfortable working in an adult-oriented health, wellness and lifestyle retail environment

Preferred Experience — A Plus

• Specialty retail, beauty, wellness or lifestyle store management
• Multi-location retail experience
• Hiring, training and developing sales teams
• Inventory management and loss prevention
• Retail merchandising and promotional campaigns
• Experience improving store sales and profitability
