Position Overview
RestoreFast is a national leader in remediation, demolition, restoration, and reconstruction services serving federal military housing and commercial general contractors. We are seeking an experienced Abatement Supervisor to lead field crews executing asbestos (ACM) and hazardous material abatement scopes across active project sites. This role is critical to maintaining compliance, schedule integrity, and quality standards on complex federal and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise abatement crews (typically 4–12 workers) on ACM, LBP, and mold remediation scopes
- Ensure full regulatory compliance with EPA, OSHA, NESHAP, and applicable state regulations at all times
- Establish and maintain containment zones, negative air pressure systems, and decontamination units
- Conduct pre-shift safety briefings, toolbox talks, and real-time hazard assessments
- Coordinate daily work plans with project manager and field construction manager
- Oversee proper PPE usage, fit testing records, and air monitoring protocols
- Manage material manifests, waste disposal documentation, and chain-of-custody logs
- Interface with third-party industrial hygienists and clearance inspectors
- Submit daily field reports, crew hours, and progress updates via company field management platform
- Identify scope deviations or unforeseen conditions and communicate change order opportunities to PM
- Maintain equipment inventory, calibration logs, and site safety documentation
- Support preconstruction site surveys and hazmat assessments when required
Qualifications — Required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen — required for federal base access and security clearance eligibility
- Must possess a REAL ID-compliant identification (gold star) — non-negotiable for military installation entry
- 3–5 years of abatement field experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Up-to-date Abatement Certification
- Active North Carolina Abatement License
- Up-to-date Fit Test/Physical Exam
- Working knowledge of NESHAP notification and compliance requirements
- Strong ability to read and execute site-specific Health & Safety Plans
- Must be able to pass federal background check for base access
Qualifications — Preferred
- Mold Remediation Supervisor certification (IICRC AMRT or equivalent)
- Experience with Fieldmate, Procore, or equivalent field management platforms
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Prior DOD housing or federal facility experience a significant advantage
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable working in full PPE (Tyvek, respirator, gloves) for extended periods
