Position Overview

At RA, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are actively seeking a Tennis Maintenance Worker I to join our team! This position supports the upkeep and maintenance of Reston Association’s Tennis and Pickleball courts, working closely with the Tennis Maintenance Worker II to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained for community use.
The Tennis Maintenance Worker I plays a key role in maintaining court surfaces, installing equipment, and performing general labor duties. This is a full-time, hands-on role that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across our recreational facilities.
This position offers 40 hours per week, 7am-3pm from Monday-Thursday from May – November. These hours depend on operational needs and are subject to change.
What You’ll Bring
- Age 18 and up.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Experience with landscaping or construction preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate equipment such as backpack leaf blowers, gas-powered golf carts, and light construction tools.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and assess maintenance needs in the field.
- Willingness to work a 40-hour week, at times including Saturdays, to support weekend maintenance needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
