Position Summary
Monitors and maintains a high level of quality and appearance in all areas of building responsibility. Oversees the daily performance of housekeeping and laundry staff that ensures the facility presents an aesthetically pleasing environment and promotes wellness.
Pay Range
- $45,000 - $50,000 per year
- ** Pay is based on experience and applicable licensure **

- Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Monday - Friday (Weekends On-Call)

Essential Responsibilities
- Establishes the schedule and plans daily work assignments for housekeeping and laundry employees.
- Oversees environmental services daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities to meet goals of production and customer expectations. Inspects and approves staff work performance.
- Provides training to new employees.
- Demonstrates leadership while providing training and coaching to employees in housekeeping and laundry for high-quality outcomes. Alert’s manager of potential performance concerns.
- Oversee floorcare team.
- Coordinates and assists with resident moves/completes with the clinical team.
- Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
- Be available for on-call hours. Maintain flexibility with ability to work outside of normal schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Arrives for work on time and in proper attire while following proper hygiene principles.
- Ability to manage time productively and work independently.
- Work collaboratively with all staff to achieve optimum results in maintaining the facility, while promoting teamwork.
- Completes weekly audits of assigned portion of campus, reporting unsatisfactory quality or performance to Environmental Services Manager.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach with the residents, visitors and staff.
- Completes yearly employee performance reviews when needed.
- Understands and supports Resthaven policies and procedures.
- Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.
- Ensure resident/customer satisfaction.
- Flexible schedule in order to meet the demands of the position, i.e.; responds to off-schedule emergency situations which may require occasional evenings and weekend commitments.
- Practice the highest standards of ethics, honesty and accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the Resthaven Care Center and its residents, clients and employees.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must possess leadership qualities and teamwork orientation.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, directions and work orders.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate and familiarity with Word, Excel, Email, etc.
- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment while using proper cleaning chemicals.
- Communicates effectively and tactfully, while recognizing age, cultural orientation, needs, abilities and physical condition.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with employees, residents, families, and visitors.
- Well organized and attentive to detail.
Education, Training, Experience
- High school diploma or successful completion of a GED.
- Prefer education to be supplemented with technical and/or vocational training in environmental services.
- Possess experience in environmental services, preferably working in senior living, healthcare or hotel industry.
- Previous experience in a team leadership role preferred.
- Exposure to working with the senior adult population desired.
- Attends all required in-service training and departmental meetings.
Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications
- Valid driver’s license.
