Pay Range
- $70,000 - $82,000

- Initiates the development of policies, procedures, and programs that govern the unit and serviced under the position control.
- Plan, develop, and implement a budgeted process for staffing and services rendered.
- Evaluate the quality of efficiency of staffing and services within Resthaven goals.
- Initiate and implement the resident care plan. Provide treatment, care and rehabilitation services following the individualized resident care plan.
- Medication administration and pain management: complete medication pass timely, with accurate administration.
- Implement, evaluate and provide nursing services as directed.
- Accurately observe, assess and document signs and symptoms, change of condition, behaviors, reactions and findings of residents.
- Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures and State/Federal regulations.
- Assign and direct the work activities of assigned clinical staff. Assist with staff coverage of shift, making assignments appropriate with the skill level of the employees. Evaluate the performance of staff with recommendations for appropriate retraining, coaching and/or corrective action.
- Provide acceptable standards of resident care and services based on established resident rights and person-centered care.
- Maintain a working climate that provides opportunities for growth and job satisfaction of staff.
- Critically think, be resourceful and remain calm in unique and emergent situations.
- Maintain professional behavior and appearance with confidentiality.
- Provide excellent customer service as evidenced by the display of appropriate concern and taking initiative to problem solve in an effort to exceed the resident’s and customer’s expectations.
- Assumes all other position responsibilities as assigned.
- Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license preferred but not required.
- Previous nursing experience preferred, particularly in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, memory care, or dementia care settings.
- Demonstrated clinical competency and knowledge of nursing best practices.
- Experience leading, coaching, or supervising healthcare staff preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and email systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and team members while recognizing age, cultural backgrounds, cognitive abilities, and physical conditions.
- Knowledge and application of dementia-specific interventions preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and responsive during urgent or emergent situations.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including telephone, copier, fax machine, and calculator.
- Participation in all required in-service education, mandatory training, and departmental meetings.
- Current nursing license, certifications, and continuing education maintained in accordance with state requirements.
