What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pet Coordinator position at Restful Pets?
Restful Pets, the East Bay's largest end of life care provider for pets, is looking for a Pet Coordinator to work in our Oakland office.
Restful Pets provides options to families who have lost a pet, or for whose pet is near the end of life. Our board certified vets put animals who are suffering to sleep pain-free and our cremation service give comfort to families in grief.
The Pet Coordinator will be the first point of contact for our families when they call or visit our office. You will be responsible for the initial intake process, providing grief support and offering solutions with our services and memorial items.
The Pet Coordinator will be hands on with the animals, lifting up to 70lbs, logging, tracking and tagging deceased animals, and storing them properly into industrial freezers. You may be required to handle animals for paw prints, hair samples or feather extraction.
The Pet Coordinator must be detail oriented, it is important that all the animals are accounted for accurately. Some light clerical, and light cleaning of the office required.
