About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic People Operations Manager to join the team in Summerville, SC. This role will serve as a key partner to leadership, driving employee-focused initiatives, optimizing HR processes, and enhancing the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver, relationship-builder, and continuous improvement champion.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Partner with managers to forecast staffing needs and develop hiring strategies.
- Design and oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and engaging new hire experience.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Implement employee engagement programs and assess feedback through surveys and one-on-one conversations.
Performance Management
- Support performance evaluation processes, including goal setting, coaching, and performance improvement plans.
- Train managers on effective performance management practices.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Administer HR policies, procedures, and systems in alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws (including OFCCP/AAP compliance where applicable).
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Prepare and report on key HR metrics (turnover, retention, hiring velocity, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits
- Assist with compensation reviews and market analysis to maintain competitive pay practices.
- Partner with benefits providers and serve as a resource for employee benefits inquiries.
Training & Development
- Identify opportunities for employee growth and recommend training programs.
- Support the rollout of learning initiatives and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4 years of HR experience, preferably with a focus on employee relations, HR operations, or talent acquisition.
- Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, ADP, etc.).
Preferred
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience in a fast-paced or multi-site environment.
