Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, LLC, a Yum! Brands Co-op, is currently seeking a Manager/Senior Manager* to join the Food Procurement.

Overview of Position
This position provides strategy development and execution to the Further Processed Poultry Team supporting Yum! Brands (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Habit Burger) and A&W. This person will have the opportunity to provide solutions to complex supply chain initiatives that will enable growth across Yum! Brands.

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote

Essential Functions
Lead, Develop, Align, and Implement Supply Chain Strategies
  • Drive value creation for several of the Yum! Brands (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Habit Burger) and A&W.
  • Develop, negotiate and implement procurement strategies and contingency plans with Brand Food Innovation Teams,
Quality Assurance, Operations, Marketing, Finance, RSCS Operations, Commodity Risk Management, Suppliers,
Distributors and Franchisees.
  • Strong analytical skills to develop forward looking cost models to provide timely and accurate forecasting for
assigned Cost of Good items (COGS). Review and revise all cost components as needed and ensure accurate
updates to COGS system regularly.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the supply chain processes through detailed cost bar analysis for raw
materials, packaging, direct and indirect labor and manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
  • Drive category strategies and execute sourcing events to assure supply and drive margin improvement processes
that provide organic and systematic growth while delivering supply chain efficiencies for the Brands.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships ensuring RSCS/Yum! is a priority customer for industry
leading costs, supply assurance, and resources. Execute contractual agreements with suppliers and ensure legal
documents are in place for all managed items.
  • Collaborate with Brand Food Innovation, Development and Quality Assurance to drive innovation and
commercialization of new products.
  • Support RSCS Operations with procurement expertise in the development of supply chain strategies and
contingency planning for all market tests and national calendar initiatives across all Brands.
  • Work with RSCS Risk Management/Commodity Team to identify margin improvement opportunities, proactively manage
risk and ensure market positions accurately reflected in product costs.
  • Collaborate with RSCS US and International Program Management teams to provide category expertise and support
for base business and promotional needs. Coordinate sourcing events for assigned items, as requested
  • Manage administrative processes including Cost of Goods Plan, Restaurants Margin Improvement, Supplier
Diversity, Global Pricing System, RFP tools, and Technology Fees for assigned categories.
  • Maintain and verify accuracy of Global Pricing System (GPS) and other company software applications as it
relates to supplier commercial terms, item setup, pricing, and freight.

Education, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field required, Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years business experience in one or combination of the following areas: Procurement,
Operations, Program Management, Finance, and/or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven procurement experience.
  • Prefer experience in food/packaging manufacturing, restaurant/QSR or CPG industry. Poultry experience a plus.
  • Must have strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills and be able to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Strong financial acumen and management of P&L, budget, ROI, asset investment and margin.
  • Experience in developing and executing long-term strategic strategies. Ability to discuss strategy to all levels
both internally and externally to maximize results.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with, influence and build strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to foresee issues before they arise and proactively build strategy to mitigate
  • Experience in establishing, building and maintaining relationships ranging across all levels of the
organization.
  • Strength in influencing without authority. Presentation skills geared at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook).
  • Travel required – less than 25%
  • The job title will be determined by the applicant’s overall experience as it relates to the position qualifications.
