We are seeking a General Maintenance professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, skilled and able to solve problems on site. Having a vast knowledge and skills and willing to go above and beyond in providing a high level of service.
The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. In this role, the Genral Maintenance Technician will be trusted to use their experience and general knowledge to make recommendations/ judgmental calls in the field, ensuring that the facility problem is quickly, correctly and efficiently resolved. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment.
- Inspect buildings and equipment for any safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Maintain records of all maintenance activities.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a regular basis.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, buildings and applicances, providing solutions.
- Repair or replace faulty equipment and parts.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
Additional job responsibilities include:
- Communicating with supervisor and residents upon arrival and completion of work
- Familiar with and ability to use smart phones and tablets for compiling job information (before and after photos, service notes, quoting, invoicing, etc.)
- Knowledge of flooring work such as leveling, laying tiles, grouting, luxury vinyl plank and Carpet
- Drywall and painting skills
- Door and Cabinet Hardware installation/removal
- Light commercial electrical (Changing lights, replacing outlets, switches, ETC.)
- Light commercial plumbing (faucet replacement, toilet rebuild, cable machine knowledge, ETC.)
- Loading and unloading building materials
- Operate large powered machinery and equipment (e.g., saws, drills, grinders, blowtorches, pressure cleaners, jackhammers and power tools)

Requirements or preferred experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or
- 3-5 years’ experience in commercial and/or general maintenance repairs
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and DMV check
- Ability to work on-call and overtime hours as needed

Compensation Base: $23-$25 hourly
