Medical Billing Specialist/ A/R
- Job Summary
- Handle day-to-day billings, maintain and grow payer relationships, and ensure optimal billing process for Pulmonology, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine practice
- Must be self-motivated with superb time management skills
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Responsibilities Include
- Collaborate with patients, 3rd party institutions, & team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
- Troubleshoot issues encountered in the collection process to reduce turnaround time on claim payments
- Review EOBs, spreadsheets, and postings
- Reconcile denied insurance claims
- Navigating webportal to investigate denials and/or eligibility for patients plans
- Experience and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing/ AR
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills required
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environment
- Allscripts preferred but not required
- Drug free work place
