Requirements:

2 or more years of experience in user experience research for high-scale products and services.

Proficiency in User-Centered Design practices and the full UX design spectrum.

Experience with information architecture, design systems, and high-fidelity prototyping.

Experience in benefits delivery programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, or Unemployment Insurance.

Experience with accessibility prototyping and the creation of detailed research artifacts.

Experience in iterative or agile development methodologies for modernization projects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:

Design and lead discovery and usability testing sprints for eligibility process optimization.

Conduct user research through interviews, field shadowing, and staff observation.

Analyze system architectures and data flows to map comprehensive user journeys.

Generate journey maps and user stories to inform prioritized automation roadmaps.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technical modifications in production.

Advocate for the voice of the user throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

Identify process inefficiencies to modernize operations and reduce frontline staffing burdens.
