What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asbestos Project Inspector position at Resource Options Inc.?
We are seeking a 2nd shift Asbestos Project Inspector to support its activities in performing asbestos, lead and mold surveys, indoor air quality investigations and environmental sampling primarily in the City of Philadelphia. Our goal is to hire an individual who is motivated, reliable, and looking to grow within the environmental consulting with experience as an Asbestos Project Inspector.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform asbestos inspections and project monitoring on commercial, residential, and institutional buildings
Conduct air monitoring during abatement projects in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and AHERA regulations

Collect samples for asbestos, lead, mold, and occasional soil/groundwater analysis
Assist with preparation of abatement designs, specifications, and project documentation
Prepare detailed field logs, sampling records, and summary reports
Work in various field environments including roofs, ladders, and crawlspaces
Travel to project sites throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland
Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in asbestos inspection, industrial hygiene, or environmental consulting
Experience with asbestos sampling, inspections, or abatement monitoring preferred
Ability to work independently in the field with strong attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally
Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends
Additional Certifications:
Asbestos Building Inspector License (highly preferred)
Asbestos Air Monitoring License (highly preferred)
Lead Paint Inspector and/or Risk Assessor License
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
Pay Range: $30.00/hr. - $40.00/hr.
