Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for a Senior Staff Radar System Architect/Radar Systems Engineer to join our Signature Systems & Diagnostics team. The position is nominally able to work at our sites in either Lovettsville, Virginia or Dayton, Ohio, but other locations can be considered. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. Duties And Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Staff System Architect/Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development of new radar capabilities, which will include the tailoring & modification of current systems as well as the development of next generation capabilities. This highly experienced individual will provide technical vision across the entire radar systems, including antenna & RF architectures, signal & data processing, link budgets, phenomenology & environmental effects, image / target synthesis & feature / target detection, displays, software architectures, data management, and both internal & external interfaces.

Duties And Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Staff System Architect/Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development of new radar capabilities, which will include the tailoring & modification of current systems as well as the development of next generation capabilities. This highly experienced individual will provide technical vision across the entire radar systems, including antenna & RF architectures, signal & data processing, link budgets, phenomenology & environmental effects, image / target synthesis & feature / target detection, displays, software architectures, data management, and both internal & external interfaces.
The selected candidate will have responsibility for the following areas:
- Conceptualization, modeling, and development of a variety of system, subsystem, or algorithms and the ability to model it in tools such as MATLAB, C/C , Python, or similar.
- Application of knowledge of signal and data processing to a variety of situations, from design to implementation to trouble-shooting.
- Application of knowledge of antennas, propagation, and clutter environments to a variety of situations, spanning collection system conceptualization to architecture to diagnosis and identification of observables in data.
- Application of knowledge of radar modes, algorithms, and techniques across a variety of sensing functions.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field with at least 15 years of full time professional experience.
- Previous leadership roles in the development and/or derivation of Radar system requirements, design, build, and test.
- Previous leadership experience in system or subsystem architecture development or novel inventions are a plus.
- Experience in radar operational testing is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or C is a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required. Active clearance preferred.
