SQL Server Administrator (Mid-Level)
📍 Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Locals only
💼 Duration: Contract
We are looking for a Mid-Level SQL Server Administrator to support the migration of SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022/2025. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SQL Server administration, upgrades, migrations, backups, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of SQL Server Administration experience
- Experience migrating SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022/2025
- SQL Server installation, configuration, and upgrades
- Database backup, restore, and recovery
- Performance tuning and optimization
- SQL Server security, user management, and permissions
- Troubleshooting SQL Server issues
- Experience with High Availability/Disaster Recovery (Always On, Log Shipping, Replication) is a plus
- Strong T-SQL knowledge
- Experience working in Windows Server environments
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Azure SQL experience is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
