Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
This role requires extensive expertise in Oracle database technology and related systems. This individual must provide proof of qualifications via resume.
Key Responsibilities
- Oracle Database Management: Provide comprehensive support, development, and maintenance activities for Oracle Database environments.
- Maintenance and Patches: Perform server maintenance, install software patches, and conduct system setups and configurations.
- Development and Management: Proficiently create and manage standalone Oracle databases. Assist users with the creation and building of new Oracle databases.
- Maintenance and Triage: Respond to Requests for Changes (RFC) assigned for maintenance and FootPrints requests related to GBIS. Must be able to identify issues quickly.
- Cross-Platform Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues related to Oracle and other database platforms (e.g., Maria DB, MySQL) as well as application-related topics (e.g., MS Access, SharePoint, and others) as they relate to database support and management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in database management as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Core Proficiency: Mandatory in Oracle database technology.
- Cross-Platform Proficiency: Required in MS SQL, SQL Server, SQL Cluster Environments, Maria DB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS Access.
- Work Style and Communication: Must be able to work individually and as part of a team. Must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and management.
