Up to 30% travel is required. If additional travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on the operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made. Ability to work on remote or distant projects as needed for several months. 24-hour and 7-day-a-week availability based on project or emergency response needs.

Position Responsibilities
- Function as an instructor, delivering high-quality, engaging, and effective training.
- Ensure strict adherence to Resolve Academy policy and procedures and safety regulations, correct usage and maintenance of simulators and surrounding areas, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Utilize various teaching methods and provided tools to facilitate learning, such as presentations, hands-on exercises, simulations, and group discussions.
- Maintain a safe training environment, prioritize safety throughout training, ensuring that students are well-versed in safety protocols, procedures, and best practices relevant to the subject matter.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, as well as any incidents or issues that arise during training.
- Report any injuries to Lead Instructor or Academy Programs Manager as soon as possible.
- Ensure a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to effective learning, addressing any disruptions or disciplinary issues as necessary.
- Offer academic support to students, addressing their questions and concerns, and providing additional resources when needed.
- Administer assessments to evaluate students' knowledge and skills, provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Assist the Programs Manager to refine and enhance training materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the subject matter and stay current with industry trends, regulations, and advancements to provide the most up-to-date training.
- Function as an Emergency Response Team Member / Fire Fighting Strike Team member used for deployment.
- Complete all required class paperwork.
- All other collateral duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- At least one year of shipboard experience as a deck officer or two years of experience as Able Seafarer-Deck on vessels of at least 200 GRT / 500 GT or other shipboard experience in a capacity with responsibility for operation, testing, and maintenance of survival equipment, conducting of abandon ship drills; and the training of passengers and/or crew in lifesaving equipment and procedures. Equivalent military experience in a deck rating of Boatswain Mate or a Survival or Rescue Swimmer is also acceptable.
- Experience on vessels of at least 200 GRT / 500 GT with designated duties as the person in charge of fast rescue boat operations; or equivalent military or other fast rescue boat experience. .
