Responsibilities
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
System Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and other critical systems.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage and oversee antivirus and malware protection solutions.
Network Management:
- Ensure the stability and security of network connections.
- Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Security:
- Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Respond to security incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GxP, FDA).
Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors.
- Review and assess quotations and proposals from vendors.
- Coordinate with vendors for the procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Create user guides and provide training to staff on IT systems and best practices.
- Ensure documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements.
Project Management:
- Assist with the planning and implementation of IT projects.
- Coordinate with various departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
Skills, Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and platforms.
- Familiarity with network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Understanding of industry regulations and standards (e.g., GxP, FDA, HIPAA).
Certifications (Preferred):
- CompTIA A , Network , Security
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
