Strategy & Analysis
- Key leader in development and execution of logistics strategic initiatives.
- Analyze end-to-end logistics performance and cost drivers across ocean, air, truckload, intermodal, and parcel networks.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement optimization strategies for mode, carrier, lane, and consolidation.
- Build and maintain transportation models and scenario planning tools (e.g., make/buy, insource/outsource, carrier shift).
- Develop transportation models and scenario planning tools (e.g., make/buy, insource/outsource, carrier shift).
- Lead lane-level optimization studies and recommend changes to improve cost, service, and sustainability.
- Monitor key metrics such as transit time, freight cost per unit, cube utilization, and on-time delivery.
- Work cross-functionally with planning, warehousing, procurement, and customer service to align logistics strategies.
- Use TMS, BI platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Alteryx) for performance analysis, visibility and reporting.
- Support or lead the implementation of new logistics tools and system enhancements (TMS, network design software, etc.)
- Partner with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and carriers to improve performance and transparency.
- Support RFP processes, carrier evaluations, and continuous improvement plans.
- Knowledgeable and current on industry trends and developments, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance transportation operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5–10 years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience, with direct involvement in network design or freight optimization.
- Experience with international freight, customs, or Incoterms; Exposure to sustainability initiatives or green logistics programs.
- Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Experience with routing software or network modeling tools (e.g., Llamasoft, Coupa, Oracle GTM, SAP TM, etc.)
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable data and solutions; experience with managing cross-functional working teams and complex global logistics network initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and mission-critical environment.
