Senior Fire Sprinkler Designer Well-established fire protection contracting company in the Anaheim area has immediate opening for a full-time, Senior Fire Sprinkler Designer. Position Overview & Expectations:Duties will be assisting the engineering team by preparing the necessary files for design, redlines, as-built, minor corrections, creating details, submitting to local building departments, over the counter plan checks, designing systems that comply with all three NFPA 13 guide lines for residential occupancies that include single family homes, duplexes, multi-family up to 4 stories, and commercial buildings. They will also commence on the job training on how to design Commercial/Residential Style podium buildings, as well as stand pipes systems. Key Contributions:· Provide support to team members when required.· Design NFPA 13D, 13R, 13 and NFPA 14 systems with no supervision.· Performing job walks for coordination purposes.· Coordinate jobs with customer and consultant team through the design/ construction process.· Do any duties of Junior Fire Sprinkler Designer when requested to do so by immediate supervisor.· Mentor all new hires.· Review 1st round of plans submittals for errors and omissions.· Manage large volume of customer calls in friendly and courtesy manner with outstanding customer service. Required Qualifications:· Experience: Generally 2 years of hands-on experience, NICET level II preferred.· Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints/plans, and understand building codes and safety regulations.· Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and scheduling abilities.· Familiarity of electronic devices and knowledge with the following software: Auto CAD, Revit, Hass, Blue Beam, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.· Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic; maintains confidentiality and high ethical standards.· Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.· Clean DMV record. Compensation, Benefits & Hours:· Hourly wage range $40/hr to $50/hr, depending on level of experience.· Full benefits- Including paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick, performance bonuses, 401k, medical & dental.· Hours of operations are from 7am – 4:30pm Monday thru Friday.Company DescriptionResidential Fire Systems Inc. is a subcontractor to the residential construction industry that designs, engineers, & installs fire sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems.
