The Residence Inn Coralville is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Laundry Attendant.
The main responsibilities of this position include: Ensures a safe and efficient operation of the laundry department daily. Uses proper cleaning and care of the laundry items and laundry equipment.
Please note: ***The working schedule is solely based upon the needs of the hotel business, meaning that the hours worked are directly affected by the hotel’s occupancy. ***
Other Duties include but are not limited to:
- Practices customer service behaviors, such as listening, initiative, responsiveness, cheerfulness, accommodation, courtesy, honesty, and professionalism.
- Demonstrates good communication skills and helps ensure optimum communication between all shifts, departments, and management.
- Makes decisions in the best interests of the property and in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates positive Team spirit, helping other Team members as necessary to achieve required standards of productivity and guest care.
- Separates linen from terry and shakes to expose any items left behind from guests for submission to Lost & Found.
- Loads, programs washers and dryers to achieve cost effective and proper cleaning/drying of items in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
- Assists in stripping/picking up linen from rooms/delivery of linen & terry to rooms as requested.
- Maintains a clean, neat and organized laundry area
- Soaks linen & terry as needed for stain removal, checks linen & terry daily for wear and tear, fold linens and towels as directed, ensuring free of wrinkles, frayed edges, stains, and hair.
- Assists in housekeeping as requested/required.
- Cleans and maintains employee break rooms and restrooms.
