Fire Watch/Helper

Duties

• Monitor construction sites or work areas to detect potential fire hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Conduct regular inspections of fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and alarm systems to verify proper operation and compliance with codes
• Assist licensed technicians with installation, testing, and maintenance of fire safety systems, including fire alarm and sprinkler fitting tasks
• Maintain clear communication with site supervisors, emergency responders, and team members during shifts or incidents
• Document all inspections, observations, and safety checks accurately in logs or reports
• Enforce security measures by controlling access points and monitoring activity around the work area
• Support the setup of alarm systems for sales demonstrations or client consultations as needed

Requirements

• Strong understanding of security protocols and safety procedures on construction sites or industrial environments
• Basic knowledge of system design principles related to fire alarms, sprinklers, and alarm systems
• Experience or familiarity with construction inspection processes is preferred
• Ability to identify potential hazards related to fire safety and communicate findings effectively
• Willingness to learn about fire sprinkler fitting, fire alarm systems, and related installation techniques
• Good physical condition to stand, walk, or perform inspections for extended periods
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
