Job Summary
As a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for performing general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and handle guest and department radio requests in a courteous, efficient, and safe manner.
- Follow up on guest and department requests to ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Complete maintenance request work orders from all departments in a timely manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
- Ensure hotel equipment is functioning properly.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
- Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of painting, drywall, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing preferred.
- General knowledge of machines and basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Basic English language skills sufficient to understand labels, instructions, and job assignments, communicate progress and completion of assignments, and respond to basic guest requests.
Schedule: Evening Shift
Position: Hourly
Pay: $18.00 per hour
