Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our hotel team. Room Attendants play an important role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for our guests. In this position, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and common areas, replenishing supplies, and responding to guest needs when necessary.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and can maintain high standards of cleanliness while working efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards
- Make beds and change bed linens as needed
- Replace used towels and replenish bathroom amenities
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and other areas of guest rooms
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Replenish guest room supplies, including toiletries and other amenities
- Restock beverages and food items as needed
- Clean and maintain assigned public areas, including hallways and common spaces
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or other issues to the appropriate department
- Respond to guest questions and requests in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist guests with locating or retrieving lost items according to hotel procedures
- Ensure all assigned rooms are clean, organized, and guest-ready by the end of the shift
- Follow hotel safety, security, and sanitation guidelines
- Work cooperatively with housekeeping and other hotel departments
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, hotel, or cleaning experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and proper sanitation practices
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and established hotel procedures
- Friendly and professional approach when interacting with guests and team members
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus, but not required
