Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and comfort for our guests. This role requires a strong commitment to cleanliness, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Room Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through meticulous cleaning and hospitality service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Perform floor care duties such as mopping and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine environment
- Ensure all public areas, hallways, and common spaces are tidy and well-maintained
- Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow established cleaning protocols to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and inquiries
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, custodial work, or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and sanitation standards is advantageous
- Experience with hospitality or housekeeper management roles can be beneficial for growth within the team
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
