Shipping Associate:
At LivingSpace Sunrooms, we’ve completely re-engineered the sunroom! Our hand cut, specialty manufactured, energy efficient, customizable sunrooms offer our customers enjoyment year-round! These beautiful spaces are built to last.
The shipping department completes the final preparation prior to and including the loading of all product onto the delivery truck. This position requires mental and physical stamina to move, inspect, package and scan each item prior to shipping.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to work Monday thru Thursday, 6:30am – 4:30pm, Friday based on shipping schedule
- Able to work safely
- Ability to operate a computer station with mouse, keyboard and scanning tools
- Demonstrate teamwork, cooperate with peers and supervisors
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent attendance
- Able to operate various equipment required to build pallets, shipping structures, band shipments as well as load and unload trucks
Essential skills:
- Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds without assistance
- Must possess strength and dexterity to manipulate, move, handle, and coordinate various sizes of completed units
- Must possess excellent workstation organizational skills
- Ability to keep accurate shipping documentation
- Able to read, write, and use measuring tools with attention to detail up to 1/32”
- Able to reach daily expectations indicated with regards to the trucking schedule and customer demand
- Must be able to track quality issues and communicate such issues with team leads, team members and management
