What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Human Resources position at Researched Nutritionals?
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Human Resource Professional to oversee a dual-function role covering both Human Resource and light accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR management background, including excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, benefit management experience, and possess a strategic and logical approach to both HR and accounting.
HR Responsibilities
- Processing payroll
- Review and process employee expense reimbursements
- Process sales team commissions
- Update/maintain employee records in our ERP system and Employee files
- Oversee employee benefit programs (health insurance, 401k etc.), and assist employees as needed with these programs
- Manage and maintain employee withholding and unemployment tax accounts as necessary with various state agencies
- Maintain and update employee handbook and other employee documents as necessary
- Understand HR rules and regulations and keep up with changes to relevant laws
- Create and manage job postings
- Assist in recruiting and initial screening of candidates
- Manage the employee onboarding process including working with IT to set up computers and email/Microsoft accounts, enrolling new employees in our health insurance and other benefit plans, collecting and managing necessary documentation for new hires such as I9’s, W4’s, and employee handbooks, preparing offer letters, etc.
- Handle employee inquiries and address HR related concerns as they arise
Accounting Responsibilities
- Perform basic AP processes (enter bills, record credit card transactions, etc.)
- Process and file yearly 1099s
Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher required
- 10 years of experience in the HR field
- Working knowledge of HR regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, and excel
- Technology savvy with experience using ERP systems (experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus)
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-manage
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm PST

Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
