Receptionist, Human Resources - Temporary

Alisal, a luxury 10,500 private acre working Ranch and Resort in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country is seeking a service-oriented bilingual (English and Spanish) Receptionist to join our Human Resources Team.

This temporary position is responsible for welcoming, greeting, and providing excellent customer service to Employees, Applicants, and Visitors upon arrival in the HR Office. Assisting with general clerical and office duties, taking detailed notes and information about requests (that arrive via phone or in person); quickly and courteously taking calls and supporting the Executive Director, HR with projects related to employee events, benefits, recruiting, training, and other HR functions. The person in this role will also assist Employees with inquiries about use of their employee portal and timekeeping system.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Prior hospitality experience, hotel/resort experience a plus.
• HR experience is helpful but not required.
• Tech savvy and computer literate (Outlook, Microsoft, Publisher, Power Point, Excel).
• Desire to establish outstanding, authentic, and memorable interactions with internal and external guests.
• Integrity, dependability, and adaptability.
• Skilled at multi-tasking, heightened attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organization.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull minimum 35 lbs.
• Able to work on site and to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
• Ability to work indoors, occasionally outdoors and in varying temperatures.

REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to present proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States post offer, pre-employment.
• Conditional offer subject to criminal background check.
• Hours are mainly M-F from 8.30am- 5pm, occasional modifications to hours (earlier or later) as needed based on operational demands. Weekend or holiday availability required once or twice per year depending on projects/events (job fairs, employee picnic, etc.). Position entails working 30-40hrs per week.
