Join our team at Lake Forest Elementary School as an Instructional Assistant Intervention for Kindergarten for the 2026/2027 school year! This position will assist the general education or specialist teacher in instruction by performing prescriptive tutoring as well as non-instructional classroom tasks. They will also work with individual students and/or small groups on assignments and exercises determined by the teacher. Provide clerical and administrative support by keeping records, preparing materials, and/or monitoring students. This Instructional Assistant Kindergarten - Intervention position offers an ideal schedule of 2 hours per day from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday - Friday, 193 days per year. This position is for the 2026/2027 school year and will start on August 12, 2026. This includes all school and holiday breaks off and earned holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave accrual. Requirements / Qualifications

A high school diploma or the equivalent, AND a. Two years of college (48 units), OR b. A. A. degree (or higher), OR c. Pass a local (County Office of Education) assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. Also required prior to employment is a DOJ/FBI Live Scan clearance and TB assessment clearance.
