Position Summary
The EHS Specialist executes programs and inspections meant to promote compliance and employee health and safety. The EHS position at RESA Power will oversee environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the entire Eastern region, ensuring compliance and fostering a safe working environment throughout our operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the new electronic safety management system for all locations
JSA templates
Site reports
Near miss and incident reports
Good catches
Pre-use inspections
Provide training to employees utilizing electronic safety management system
Maintain templates, reports, and safety requirements through the electronic safety management system
Purchases and distributes personal protection equipment or other related supplies.
Coordinate and conduct inspections of job sites, facilities, vehicles, or equipment.
Research federal, state, and local safety requirements to keep up to date with compliance requirements for every location
Coordinates local safety committees to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Follow-up on and debrief on any critical event including leading the investigation of the event and implementation of corrective actions; distributing insights, best-practices and lessons learned to sites
Assist management at all levels in meeting their health and safety obligations by providing the necessary support and tools, as well as measuring progress.
Work closely with all locations to institute industry leading best practice safety solutions (e.g. benchmarking, "Human Performance" safety, etc.) that are consistent with company goals and objectives; partner with senior leadership across the organization to bring cohesiveness and synergy to the Company’s approach to safety issues throughout business operations.
Identify opportunities for improvement (auditing, investigations, operating system)
Performs work under minimal supervision and executes safety compliance audits for manufacturing/shop environments and field work.
Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment with the ability to meet deadlines.

Required Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum 5 years of experience or a mix of education and experience.
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
