We are seeking an EH&S Industrial Hygienist Specialist II for a very important client.
The Industrial Hygienist Specialist II supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of industrial hygiene programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing and research setting. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and controlling occupational health risks related to chemical, biological, and physical hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct exposure assessments for airborne contaminants, noise, and other occupational hazards.
Develop and implement monitoring strategies and sampling plans.
Interpret industrial hygiene data and recommend appropriate engineering or administrative controls.
Support risk assessments for new processes, equipment, and materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Facilities, and EH&S.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other applicable regulations and guidelines.
Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to industrial hygiene and occupational health.
Maintain accurate records and prepare technical reports and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial hygiene, preferably in the biopharma or life sciences industry.
Working knowledge of IH sampling equipment and analytical methods.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
CIH certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
