We are currently looking for new members to become part of our manufacturing team. The Press Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining press equipment used in the production of pyrotechnic components.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hydraulic and/or mechanical presses to manufacture pyrotechnic components according to production specifications
- Accurately measure, load, and press raw materials to meet quality and performance standards
- Perform routine equipment inspections, adjustments, and basic maintenance
- Monitor production output and identify defects or inconsistencies
- Follow all safety procedures related to explosive materials, including proper handling, storage, and disposal
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards
- Document production data, material usage, and any operational issues
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and safety teams to meet deadlines and improve processes
- Assist with setup, teardown, and changeovers of press equipment as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred (press operation a plus)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols with precision
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Required to wear a respirator while operating some equipment on site
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and tasks
Work Environment & Safety
- Work is performed in a fireworks manufacturing facility handling combustible and explosive materials
- Strict adherence to safety regulations and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory
- Require working in controlled environments with limited electronic device usage
Background check and drug screen will be performed.
Position is Full-time with benefits (IRA, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off)

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
