Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to support Agile delivery initiatives for Wells Fargo. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading Agile teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing cross-functional dependencies, and driving continuous improvement within enterprise-scale Agile environments. This role requires strong stakeholder management, Agile coaching, and delivery execution skills.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Planning & Facilitation
- Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Support quarterly and product planning events, ensuring alignment across teams.
- Coordinate planning outcomes and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration between Product Owners, development teams, and business stakeholders.
Delivery Execution
- Drive Agile delivery by ensuring teams meet sprint commitments and release objectives.
- Track progress using Agile metrics and remove impediments impacting delivery.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and proactively manage risks.
- Promote Agile best practices, DevOps principles, and continuous delivery.
Team Coaching & Leadership
- Coach Scrum teams on Agile values, Scrum principles, and organizational standards.
- Mentor Product Owners and team members on backlog refinement and prioritization.
- Encourage self-organizing, high-performing teams focused on continuous improvement.
- Support Agile transformation initiatives across the organization.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve team velocity, quality, and delivery predictability.
- Facilitate retrospectives and implement actionable improvements.
- Promote automation, technical excellence, and efficient delivery practices.
Metrics & Reporting
- Monitor sprint health, velocity, burn-down charts, and other Agile metrics.
- Develop dashboards and reports to provide visibility into delivery performance.
- Track release progress, team capacity, and execution against commitments.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Agile methodologies, and SDLC.
- Experience working in large enterprise Agile environments.
- Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and remove delivery impediments.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder communications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
- Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and Agile metrics.
- Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent) is preferred.
