Principal AI Engineer
Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite) – Dallas, TX or Charlotte, NC
Duration: 6–12 Months Contract
We are seeking an experienced Principal Applied AI Engineer to join a high-impact AI team focused on transforming Testing, Monitoring, and Audit capabilities through cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence solutions. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling AI-powered applications that improve operational efficiency, automate decision-making, and enhance risk management processes across the enterprise
.The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, AI engineering, and enterprise-scale AI deployment. You will work closely with technology, product, and business teams to build intelligent solutions while establishing reusable AI patterns, governance frameworks, and best practices
.Key Responsibilitie
- sDesign, develop, and optimize Generative AI applications using Agentic AI frameworks and tools
- .Build automated data pipelines, prompt engineering frameworks, and AI evaluation workflows to accelerate solution delivery
- .Develop reusable AI solution blueprints, frameworks, and automation patterns
- .Lead the architecture, development, and scaling of AI-powered products and platforms
- .Research and implement innovative AI solutions while balancing model accuracy, latency, and operational costs
- .Create automated monitoring, explainability, and performance tracking frameworks for AI models
- .Develop enterprise-grade AI platforms leveraging LLMs, real-time analytics, intelligent automation, and decision intelligence
- .Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications and cloud platforms
- .Define AI roadmaps, infrastructure strategies, and governance frameworks aligned with business objectives
- .Drive resolution of complex technical challenges through innovation, strategic thinking, and advanced analytical skills
- .Establish robust governance and risk management controls for Generative AI solutions
- .Mentor team members and lead technical workstreams across multiple initiatives
.Required Qualification
- sStrong experience in AI model development, deployment, and AI engineering
- .Deep expertise with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, model tuning, and AI safety practices
- .Experience designing scalable Agentic AI workflows and modular AI architectures
- .Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Knowledge Graphs, and intelligent agent frameworks
- .Hands-on experience with backend application development using Python and ability to work within C# environments
- .Expertise in AI testing, evaluation-driven development, and AI model validation
- .Strong knowledge of AI infrastructure, MLOps/GenAIOps, and enterprise AI adoption strategies
- .Experience implementing AI governance, compliance, risk management, and model lifecycle management practices
- .Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis, error analysis, and model performance optimization
- .Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
.Preferred Qualification
- sExperience with Knowledge Graph technologies and semantic matching frameworks
- .Understanding of human-centered AI design principles for enterprise applications
- .Experience integrating AI solutions within large-scale enterprise software ecosystems

- .Prior experience supporting AI initiatives within risk, audit, compliance, or financial services environments is a plus
