We are seeking a skilled and licensed Structured Cabling Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems in commercial and new construction environments, as well as providing essential IT support. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of low voltage principles and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate various types of low voltage cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cable.
- Run and pull cable through conduit, ceilings, walls, and various building structures in accordance with industry standards and local codes.
- Implement complete cabling infrastructure in new and existing commercial buildings (voice, data, video).
- Perform network surveys and site assessments to determine cable routing and material requirements.
- Install cable pathways, support structures, racks, and patch panels.
- Test, troubleshoot, and certify installed cabling systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Provide general IT support services to our Managed IT clients.
Required Qualifications
- Mandatory: Must possess a valid and current Georgia Low Voltage License (LV-U or LV-T).
- Proven experience in the structured cabling or low voltage industry (e.g., as a Cable Technician, LV Installer, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., TIA/EIA) and best practices for cable installation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various construction environments.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Bonus Qualifications
Candidates with experience in the following areas will be given strong preference:
- Installation and maintenance of Security Systems (CCTV/IP video surveillance)
- Experience with Controlled Access systems (card readers, magnetic locks, biometric systems).

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
