Shipping Clerk

Position Summary:

As a Shipping Clerk, you’ll play a key role in getting our products safely into the hands of our customers. Working with minimal supervision, you’ll process packed orders, sort and load shipments onto carrier trucks, and help ensure our shipping dock runs smoothly. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and a strong commitment to safety and quality in every step of the process.

What You'll Do:

• Process packed orders for shipment through approved carriers using our computerized shipping system

• Generate reports through the computerized manifesting program

• Sort shipped orders to the correct area or trailer according to established guidelines

• Load carrier trucks safely and efficiently, using a pallet jack when required

• Complete customs paperwork for international shipments

• Resolve error messages in the manifesting program following established procedures and communicate issues to the Order Processing supervisor or Help Desk

• Maintain a clean, organized dock area that is free of safety hazards

• Track daily production stats and communicate work issues with the Order Processing Leadership Team

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods of time

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, and stack up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds

• Ability to safely push, pull, and maneuver product carts

• Ability to use a pallet jack and load boxed pallets onto trucks

• Occasional safe climbing of ladders

Skills & Experience:

• The ability to follow detailed procedures

• Experience with specialized inventory computer systems and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to structure and manage daily tasks independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and contribute effectively in a team setting

• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written

• Commitment to safety, quality, and providing excellent service to both internal and external customers

• Organized work habits with a willingness to maintain a clean, orderly work area
