What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Staff position at Replacements, Ltd?
Job Type: Full-time, hourly
Location: Greensboro, NC (On-site)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Purpose of the Job
In this role, you'll help drive our commitment to environmental sustainability by supporting our recycling efforts - including processing cardboard, plastic, and paper packing materials. You'll operate and maintain recycling equipment, keep break rooms stocked with essential supplies, and assist with waste removal and discarded items as needed. Your work helps keep our workplace clean, efficient, and environmentally responsible.
What You'll Do
Carry out all recycling tasks at the balers, including processing cardboard, packing paper, and bubble wrap.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around all recycling equipment.
Stock break rooms, break areas, and vending supplies twice daily (or as needed).
Remove trash and discarded items from designated departments and transport them to the trash compactor.
Move completed pallets of bundled recycling to the receiving area for warehousing.
Assist inventory teams by assembling china and crystal trays when additional support is required.
Check in with department leadership to identify any recycling or trash removal needs and ensure timely pickup.

What We're Looking For
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures accurately.
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area and following all safety guidelines.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent pushing and pulling of recycle bins, pallet jacks, and bundled bales.
- Ability to safely operate manual and electric pallet jacks (training provided).
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment that requires consistent physical activity.
- Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Replacements' internal and external customers.
Education and Other Specialized Skills
- Must be able to perform moderate to intense physical labor including moving boxes and taking out the trash.
- Must be able to operate all equipment required for recycling including balers, compactor, and pallet jacks.
