ReNuke Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV for our client"s site in Charlotte, NC! Description: Full time, hybrid, 3 days/week in office. Travel will be required for site and project visits around the Carolina"s. Could be a mix of day and overnight travel, travel expenses will be reimbursed. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design and build-out of Energy Reliability Centers (ERC). This role will involve working on Natural Gas Facilities featuring variable frequency electric drive, engine drive, or turbine drive compressor units. The ideal candidate will have experience working at large industrial, complex mechanical process facilities. Key Responsibilities: * Support the engineering design and build-out of Energy Reliability Centers (ERC) * Design and engineer compressor stations including electric drive, engine drive, and turbine drive systems * Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex mechanical process facilities * Provide technical expertise for industrial facility design and construction projects * Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation * Write technical Request For Proposal (RPF) project spec and scope documents. * Manage contract engineering firms through design and construction * Work well with a diverse team of professionals Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field * Senior-level engineering experience (Engineer 4 level) * Experience with large industrial, complex mechanical process facilities * Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial processes * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Desired Experience & Background * Direct Experience: Compressor station design, engineering, construction, or operation * Transferable Experience: Power plant design, construction, and operation (fossil, nuclear, etc.) * Facility Experience: Working in or designing compressor stations, power plants, industrial facilities, or similar complex mechanical process facilities * Experience with variable frequency electric drive, engine drive, or turbine drive equipment * Experience with reciprocating compressors or centrifugal compressors Ideal Candidate Profile: The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial facility design, particularly in natural gas compression, power generation, or similar heavy industrial environments. While direct compressor station experience is valuable, we recognize that professionals with experience in fossil/nuclear plant construction, engineering, operations, or large-scale industrial mechanical systems possess highly transferable skills that are well-suited for this role. Additional Information: This position offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects supporting energy reliability. The role requires someone who can hit the ground running and contribute immediately to ongoing projects. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic engineering environment.

Salary : $98,300 - $129,800
