Salary: $42,000 – $46,000 per year

Rental Management Group manages residential rental homes throughout the Birmingham area.
Rental Management Group is seeking a Leasing Specialist to assist prospective residents in finding their next home. This role focuses on customer service, leasing coordination, and communication with prospective tenants.
Many prospective residents first contact us by phone, so strong communication and phone skills are essential.
Experience working with Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher tenants is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from prospective residents and provide information about available rental homes
- Respond to online inquiries and schedule showings
- Follow up with prospects after showings and inquiries
- Assist applicants participating in Section 8 / housing voucher programs
- Guide applicants through the leasing and approval process
- Process rental applications and coordinate approvals
- Maintain prospect and leasing records in the property management system
- Coordinate lease signings and move-in preparation
- Encourage and process lease renewals
- Provide regular updates to property owners regarding marketing activity, tenant inquiries, and application status for their properties
Qualifications
- Experience in leasing, retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and phone skills are essential
- Organized and able to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups
- Experience with property management software preferred
- Experience working with Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher tenants preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
Compensation
- Salary of $42,000 – $46,000 per year depending on experience
- Paid time off (15 days annually, accrued throughout the year)
- 6 paid holidays
- Flexible scheduling and occasional remote work may be available after an initial training period once the employee is comfortable with the role
- Stable full-time position with a growing property management company
- This position does not offer health insurance or 401K
