Part-Time Graphic Designer

Company Overview:

RentACoop is a leading supplier of high-quality products for owners of backyard chickens and small animals. We are growing rapidly, and we need a talented Graphic Designer to support our expanding product catalog and marketing efforts. Our products are sold direct-to-consumer and through major retail and online platforms including Amazon, Chewy, Tractor Supply, Northern Tool, and our own website.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Graphic Designer to join our team approximately 30 hours or less per week. This role will be responsible for developing visually compelling designs for ecommerce listings, infographics, and other product-related assets. You will collaborate closely with the creative team, product development, and marketing to ensure all visual content meets brand standards and enhances the customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of work in product-focused design, a passion for clear and functional visual communication, and experience managing multiple design projects from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Ecommerce Content & Marketing Graphics:

• Develop product infographics and imagery for use on ecommerce platforms (Amazon, Chewy, TSC, etc.)
• Collaborate on the creation of listing bullet points, A content layouts, and visual storytelling
• Support social media and email campaigns with promotional graphics

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management:

• Partner with the creative, marketing, and product teams to execute design needs across departments
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met
• Maintain organized design files and version control

Brand Consistency & Design Standards:

• Uphold and evolve RentACoop’s visual brand identity across all customer-facing touchpoints
• Apply typography, color, and layout principles that enhance readability and engagement
• Provide creative input to help improve visual strategy and user experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Degree or formal training in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional graphic design role, preferably within a product-based or ecommerce company

Skills:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
• Experience with Canva, Figma, or other collaborative design tools is a plus
• Strong visual storytelling, layout, and typography skills
• Ability to translate product features into visually engaging content
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and project organization skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Knowledge of ecommerce content requirements (e.g., Amazon image standards) is a strong plus

Part-time employees may be eligible for up to 80 hours of paid time off annually, along with additional benefits depending on the role, scheduled hours, and length of employment.
