What You'll Do
Lead Daily Department Operations
- Oversee the daily operations, staffing, workflow, and patient scheduling for the Echocardiography & Vascular Ultrasound department.
- Ensure efficient patient throughput while maintaining exceptional quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate resources to support a productive, collaborative, and patient-focused environment.
Inspire and Develop Your Team
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of sonographers by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, competency validation, and ongoing professional development.
- Promote employee engagement and create opportunities for career growth and advancement.
Deliver Clinical Excellence
- Perform echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound procedures as needed while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
- Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, department protocols, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices.
- Partner with physicians to optimize image quality, workflow efficiency, and diagnostic accuracy.
Drive Quality and Innovation
- Monitor quality metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with department policies, procedures, and best practices to support operational excellence.
- Oversee quality control processes, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and operational readiness.
- Support strategic initiatives that enhance patient experience, caregiver engagement, and departmental performance.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of ultrasound experience.
- Active registry through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), based on specialty requirements.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong clinical expertise and the ability to lead in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous leadership experience as a Lead Sonographer, Charge Technologist, or Supervisor.
- Active registries in both Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound, or General and Vascular Ultrasound, strongly preferred.
- Experience with quality improvement, workflow optimization, accreditation readiness, and staff development.
- Experience in a high-volume hospital or cardiovascular imaging environment.
