As a Journeyman Plumber, you'll work on complex infrastructure systems that are essential to hospital operations, including medical gas systems, steam distribution, chilled water systems, and campus-wide plumbing networks. What You'll Do
As part of our Facilities team, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing plumbing and piping systems across a dynamic healthcare campus.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems throughout hospital and healthcare facilities.
- Work on a variety of complex systems, including:
- Medical gas systems (oxygen, suction, and medical air)
- High- and low-pressure steam systems
- Chilled water systems supporting facility operations
- Institutional plumbing infrastructure
- Perform plumbing renovations, upgrades, and remodeling projects.
- Troubleshoot system issues and respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Plan projects, perform material takeoffs, and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to maximize system reliability and minimize downtime.
- Rebuild and repair pumps and related plumbing equipment.
- Collaborate with facilities and operations teams to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Plumbing Apprenticeship Program
- Current City of Reno Plumbing License
- Valid Nevada or California Driver's License
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience with institutional, healthcare, campus, or large commercial plumbing systems
- Knowledge of state and local plumbing codes and regulations
- Experience working with medical gas systems, vacuum pumps, and breathing air compressors
- Experience rebuilding and maintaining pumps
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
