What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Scheduler position at Renown Health?
Position Purpose
Under the direction of the OR or Ambulatory Manager/Supervisor, this position is responsible for the automated scheduling of all surgical cases through direct contact with the surgeons or surgical office staff, this includes marketing Renown Health surgical services to medical staff as appropriate.
Nature and Scope
This position schedules all surgical cases for the surgical suites in two locations. The biggest challenge for this position is meeting the desires of the physicians and patients while managing equipment and staffing conflicts.
This position has the authority to prioritize work and to make scheduling changes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
It is common to encounter potential hazards in the healthcare environment. Some of these hazards could include, but are not limited to: radiation, toxic chemicals, biological hazards, heat, noise, dust and stress. Renown Health has a Safety Management Program in place that addresses these issues.
Other related duties, flexible hours, and overtime may be required.
This position does not provide patient care.

Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Experience:
One year hospital or physician office experience required. Surgical scheduling experience preferred.

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
