What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Remodeling Team Position position at Renovation?
Job Summary
We are an established, relatively smaller, strong performing residential remodeling company based in Leesburg, VA that is looking to grow. We take pride in creating beautiful spaces and happy clients—from bathroom makeovers to full-home transformations. We're looking to bring on an enthusiastic and reliable Remodeling Assistant with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in construction, remodeling, or a similar trade. If you've worked on projects before and are ready to build your skills alongside a talented team, we’d love to hear from you.
Duties
- Assist with daily site setup, cleanup, and material handling
- Perform basic demolition (e.g., removing cabinets, trim, flooring)
- Support installation of framing, drywall, cabinetry, doors, plumbing fixtures, etc.
- Work alongside skilled team members to learn techniques and tools
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
- Make supply runs as needed (mileage reimbursement available)
- Continuously grow your skills through hands-on experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in residential construction or remodeling
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Comfortable lifting 50lbs and working on active job sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and takes pride in showing up prepared
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong sense of accountability and willingness to take ownership of tasks
