DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Northwest DC is hiring a Lead Carpenter to oversee residential remodeling projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for both hands-on construction work and coordinating day-to-day activity on-site.
Projects include kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home renovations in occupied residences throughout the DC metro area.

DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Northwest DC is hiring a Lead Carpenter to oversee residential remodeling projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for both hands-on construction work and coordinating day-to-day activity on-site.
Projects include kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home renovations in occupied residences throughout the DC metro area.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily job site operations and ensure work progresses according to schedule and scope
- Serve as the on-site liaison between homeowners, subcontractors, and internal leadership
- Execute skilled carpentry and remodeling work, including framing, trim, cabinetry, drywall, tile, flooring, and fixture installation
- Coordinate subcontractors and verify work quality and sequencing
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, especially in occupied homes
- Review plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution
- Track project updates, photos, and notes using JobTread or similar tools
- Identify issues early and communicate solutions to management
- Support and guide less experienced team members
- Strong background in residential remodeling and carpentry
- Experience leading projects or crews on-site
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Comfortable working in occupied homes; historic renovation experience is a plus
- Ability to read and follow construction plans
- Solid communication skills with clients and team members
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Physically able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
- Full-time, W-2 position
