Job Purpose and Objectives:
The primary responsibility of the Health Information Supervisor is to maintain the Health Departments medical records in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing medical documentation. This position ensures accuracy, confidentiality, proper billing, and accessibility of records for authorized personnel, serving as the primary point of contact for HIPAA related matters. Additionally, this role coordinates and manages client scheduling for healthcare providers and WIC services to support efficient operations. This position provides supervision and guidance to clerical staff withing clinical and WIC areas, including oversight of medical billing processes, to promote productivity, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.

Position Requirements:
- Associate degree in Applied Science and/or accredited exam.
- Supervisory experience in Health Information (3 years or more).
- Customer Service experience (3 years or more).
- Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements relative to the position.
Certifications / Licenses:
- Possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license.
- CPR Preferred.
