Job Purpose and Objectives:
This is a working supervisory position responsible for directing and coordinating a crew of skilled and semi-skilled employees engaged in manual labor working through a temp agency. Duties involve overseeing a wide range of tasks related to the operations and maintenance of the Reno County Solid Waste Management Department. Ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with departmental standards and regulations. The Ground Maintenance Crew Leader will also assist in tasks and duties associated with the pumps for rainwater removal.

Position Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Previous management or supervisor experience preferred.
- Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining any certification and licensing requirements relative to the position.
Certifications / Licenses:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license when reporting for duty.
- Ability to obtain a class B-CDL driver's license if requested by the Solid Waste Director.
