What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Coordinator position at Renner Dance Company?
Job Overview
Renner Dance is seeking an exceptional Front Desk & Studio Operations Coordinator to become the welcoming face of our studio.
You will oversee front desk operations, manage parent communication, coordinate administrative activities, support studio events, and help ensure that every family has an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through our doors. This is a high-impact role where you will be working very closely with the owner.
While this is primarily an administrative and operations role, candidates should have a background in dance instruction and be comfortable stepping into the classroom when needed. Teaching responsibilities will be occasional and are not the primary focus of the position.
This position is expected to be a minimum of 20 hours per week during the first year. As Renner Dance continues to grow, there is a clear opportunity for the role to evolve into a full-time Studio Manager position, serving as the owner's primary operational partner and helping lead the continued growth and success of the studio.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the welcoming face of Renner Dance by creating an exceptional experience for every student, parent, and visitor.
- Manage all front desk operations, including greeting families, answering phones, responding to emails, and handling parent inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Own day-to-day administrative operations to ensure the studio runs efficiently and proactively.
- Assist with planning and executing studio events, including recitals, performances, auditions, showcases, and special events, in coordination with Ownership and the Artistic Director.
- Manage inventory of dance shoes, tights, apparel, and other retail merchandise, including ordering, stocking, and organization.
- Coordinate with faculty, vendors, and outside partners to support daily studio operations.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and professional front office and lobby environment at all times.
- Step into dance classes when needed to provide instructional coverage, understanding that teaching is secondary to the operational responsibilities of the role.
