Responsibilities:
Use precision measuring instruments to very close tolerance requirements.
Use and interpret precision measuring instruments
Work from written procedures, complex drawings and blueprints, sketches, operations sheets, specifications and instructions to plan work operations
Monitor quality of own work to assure adherence to quality standards and prepare detailed inspection reports as required, document non-conformances.
Determine and report any inefficiencies, defective materials, unusual conditions and machining issues
Keep required time and maintain productions records.
Responsible for the safety and clean-up of own area
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required Prefer 3-5 years' experience in a similar capacity Must be able to use standard inspection equipment, ID or OD mics, dial bore gages, digital or dial calipers, thread gages, etc. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Knowledge of CMM inspections, Magnetic Particle inspections and knowledge of SPC a plus. Good math, language, reading skills Analytical skills Attention to detail Visual Acuity Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted Shop environment, exposed to shop elements May work in tight and/or cramped spaces Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted Strong attention to detail and accuracy Teamwork and communication skills Must be authorized to work in the US
