The General Laborer in a CNC manufacturing company is responsible for assisting in various shop floor operations, including assisting, material handling, maintenance, and other general tasks to support production. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Maintenance Assistance: Support basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines, changing fluids, and assisting technicians with minor repairs.
- Shop Organization & Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored along with sweeping and mopping,
- General Shop Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting machine operators, packing parts for shipment, and maintaining safety compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
