An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
SUMMARY
Tends machines that dye and finish knitted hosiery: Turns valves to admit water and steam into machine to specified level. Pours dye or finishing chemicals into machine. Turns thermostat and timing device to set temperature and dyeing time, according to formula.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operates dye tubs according to assigned programs &loads and unloads dye tubs.
• Keeps dye lots and chemicals ready for next round; weighs own dyes/chemicals using drug worksheet.
• Checks dye bath for complete exhaustion of dyes/required to do proper dye/chemical checks.
• Moves dyed work to tumblers for dyeing.
• Checks lots for whiteness and shades, defects.
• Weighs goods for each run and enters run information into the system.
• Responsible for daily housekeeping & cleaning work area thoroughly each week.
• Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality
• Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements.
• Other duties assigned by management are a part of this job description
